Hokkaido cake - yummiest cake!

i attended a Hokkaido cake hands-on class somewhere Oct last year.
The baking technique is similar to the baking of Chiffon cake.
W/o filling, it taste only so so.....

I baked a badge of Hokkaido cake couple days after the baking class. Since my son love chocolate, so i piped in some chocolate filling, and it taste super delicious. This Japanese sponge cake is super soft ( soft, not dry, not too spongy and has little moisture in it, the texture is really superb) and super delicious esp when u have some chocolate within it which just melted in your mouth.

All my family members esp the kids and my colleagues love it so much. within minutes, 3 kids finished up all the Hokkaido cakes ( including my son who is always not a supporter of my cake!)

CNY decorated sugar cookies

I love decorated cookies for it just able to bring out the love, the sincerity of yours when it was send as gift on special occasion.

Therefore, i decided to make a badge of CNY decorated cookies for my colleagues, my son's teacher and for few good people that i appreciate.

really hope they like it!

CNY baking - rolled pineapple tart

Pineapple tart is always my CNY favourite list. I guest it is because my husband likes it. Well, he's kinda weird that he has no interest in other CNY cookies except this!

This year i chose to make the pineapple filling by myself rather than using filling sold in bakery shop. I found the one sold in the shop is too sour ( not my taste) and it has cinnamon taste of i do not really like it. The self cooked filling is definitely much more yummy!

Lastly, the pretty pineapple tarts are ready for given away....

A simple yet elegance birthday cake for my eldest sister!

My eldest sister turned 37 in January. We celebrated her b'day in Kunthai Thai restaurant. After the dinner, my family went to my house for cake cutting. For time constraint, i only manage to bake her a simple vanilla sponge cake and frosted with fresh cream icing, and i decorated it with some chocolate buttons and  figurines. i really like the little candles that i bought from a baking supplies shop. It's so cut!
